1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Puzzle Snap mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
2. License Grant
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.
You May:
- Install and use the App on devices you own or control
- Create puzzles from your personal photos
- Share puzzle links with friends and family
- Use the App offline without internet connection
You May Not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the App
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use the App for commercial purposes
- Remove any copyright or proprietary notices
- Share or distribute your App Store purchase
3. User Content
Your Photos
You retain all rights to photos you use in the App. By using the App:
- You confirm you have the right to use the photos
- Photos remain on your device and are not uploaded (except via Share feature)
- You are responsible for the content of your photos
Shared Puzzles
When you share a puzzle:
- You grant us a license to host and display the puzzle HTML file via Firebase
- The puzzle becomes publicly accessible via its unique link
- You are responsible for the content you share
- We reserve the right to remove inappropriate content
- Shared puzzles are anonymous - no personal data is attached
4. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Share puzzles containing illegal, harmful, or offensive content
- Share puzzles containing copyrighted material you don't own
- Share puzzles containing private or personal information of others
- Use the App to harass, abuse, or harm others
- Attempt to hack, disrupt, or compromise the App
- Use automated tools or bots with the App
5. Intellectual Property
The App, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by us and protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Puzzle Snap™ and the app icon are our trademarks. You may not use them without our written permission.
6. Purchase and Payment
One-Time Purchase
- Puzzle Snap requires a one-time purchase via the App Store
- All payments are processed by Apple
- Purchases are non-refundable (subject to Apple's refund policy)
- One purchase works on all your iOS devices via Family Sharing
No Subscriptions
We do not offer any subscription-based services. There are no recurring charges.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING:
- Warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose
- That the App will be error-free or uninterrupted
- That defects will be corrected
- That the App is free from viruses or harmful components
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Loss of data, revenue, or profits
- Device damage or malfunction
- Any damages arising from your use of the App
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP.
9. Third-Party Services
Firebase Cloud Storage
We use Firebase Cloud Storage (by Google) for the puzzle sharing feature. By using the Share feature, you also agree to:
- Google's Terms of Service
- Firebase Terms of Service
App Store
Your use of the App is also subject to Apple's App Store Terms and Conditions.
10. Updates and Changes
We may update the App from time to time. Updates may include:
- Bug fixes and performance improvements
- New features and games
- Changes to existing features
You are responsible for updating the App to the latest version.
11. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for:
- Violation of these Terms
- Illegal or harmful conduct
- Any reason at our sole discretion
Upon termination, you must delete the App from all devices.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of your jurisdiction, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by:
- Posting the new Terms in the App
- Updating the "Last Updated" date
- Sending an in-app notification (for major changes)
Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
